Inaugural Atlanta Street Food Festival Rolls into Piedmont Park and Raises $47k for the Atlanta Community Food Bank
An elite group of Atlanta’s favorite food trucks rolled into Piedmont Park on Saturday, July 14, to participate in the inaugural Atlanta Street Food Festival from 12 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
As the only festival in the city dedicated solely to the mobile food trend, this all-day festival provided Atlantans a unique opportunity to experience an impressive variety of the city’s street food cuisine along with beloved local merchants and artisans while enjoying live musical entertainment from some of the area’s most reputable performers. The Atlanta Street Food Festival also includes a philanthropic element as a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
“The hottest food trend in Atlanta is the street food movement and we wanted to celebrate the success of these entrepreneurs by showcasing their premier cuisine in one fun-filled day,” Atlanta Street Food Festival founders Alisha Nesbitt and Cheryl Hasting said. “Our goal is to bring the city together for an affordable, family-friendly event that really highlights our diverse culinary offerings, including the beloved food trucks and the amazing artistic talent of our local artisans and merchants.”
Participating food trucks and caterers include:
Yumbii, Munch, Banged Up and Mashed, Just, Loaf’n, Yoli’s Street Food, Mix’d Up, Hail Caesar, The Fry Guy, Pup Truck, Happy Belly, Yum Yum Cupcake, Nana G’s Chik-n-Waffles, Buon Provecho, Black Tie Catering, King of Pops, Honeysuckle Gelato Dr. Sweets Cake Emporium and Cake Café Atlanta.
The Atlanta Street Food Festival is presented by MARTA and excited to announce the Georgia Aquarium, Vitamin Water, Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine, Power Home Improvement Group, Juniper Blu and Enchanted Events of Atlanta as official sponsors for the event along with SweetWater Brewing Company, Scoutmob, My Soul Radio and Atlanta Restaurant Marketing as official partners. Guests will enjoy SweetWater’s signature brews for-purchase at the event and Vitamin Water will serve as the official water for festival guests and vendors.
In addition to the cuisine and shopping, guests will be treated to live entertainment from a variety of local bands and artists in support of sponsor Lethal Rhythms Entertainment. Scheduled guest performers include Dwight Raby, The Stephen Lee Band, Josh Bias & The 630 Band, Southland Romeo and Timothy J. Wilson.
The Atlanta Street Food Festival is currently seeking merchandise vendors to participate in the event. Merchants will be received on a first-come-first-serve basis to sign up and will receive a no-compete benefit. For more information contact: Alisha Nesbitt: atlantastreetfoodfestival@gmail.com
